infoShare Academy with EUR 497k investment, will develop a smart online education platform

Remote education is gaining on importance in current circumstances dictated by the COVID-19 epidemic. infoShare Academy, one of the leading programming schools in Poland, received EUR 497k investment from Black Pearls VC and Tomasz Józefacki as a coinvestor. The company will build an intelligent online education platform enabling remote learning of programming.

The key to a new profession: access to education

Software development is one of the most receptive recruitment areas nowadays. According to Pracuj.pl research, in 2019 IT specialists were among the top three most sought after on the Polish labor market. Experts estimate that there's a shortage of at least 50k software developers in Poland. Over the past five years, infoShare Academy has already educated over 2,000 programmers. With so much demand for programmers on the market, access to education is taking on its importance.

We have quickly switched into the remote learning mode. But we are aware that this way of education based on the traditional teaching methods has its limitations. E-learning is much more than just a video connection with a lecturer. These are innovative tools and learning methods that significantly increase the quality of education and its accessibility

infoShare Academy will implement an online platform based on innovative technologies and a proprietary concept to run courses for programmers. By participating in online training, the trainee will be able to study at any time, from anywhere and at a pace adapted to his needs. The platform will also enable regular training of newly acquired skills and verification of acquired knowledge. The creators of the solution will also implement appropriate motivational mechanisms and adaptation of the material scope and learning mode to each student individually.
The coronavirus epidemic and the restrictions associated with its eradication, will translate into serious macroeconomic effects - including increased unemployment. Quick retraining and the opportunity to get a job in an industry with a high demand for human work will therefore be a key need for many people.

Black Pearls VC has invested in infoShare Academy EUR 452k. The transaction was carried by Maciej Skórkiewicz.

The technological transformation in education will now significantly accelerate and new standards will be set quickly. We intend to actively participate in the process. Labor market suffers from a huge shortage of programmers. The online training offer opens up the opportunity to acquire this profession regardless of where you live.
